About Right at Home Tyneside
Right at Home Tyneside provides care and support in people's own homes in Newcastle upon Tyne and across North Tyneside. Our work rests on a preference almost everybody shares: to stay at home, among familiar things, for as long as it can be made to work. Most of the people we visit are older adults. Support might mean help with washing, dressing, medication and meals, or longer visits for people who need company and a closer eye kept on how they are doing. We support people living with dementia, and we have learned that the most valuable thing we bring is a familiar person who is not rushing and who already knows how this individual likes things done. We help people with physical disabilities with personal care, mobility and getting out of the house, and we support people with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we announce ourselves, speak and explain so that nobody is talked over. We also support younger adults, whose care is built around work, study and family rather than a standard timetable. We work hard to keep the same small team around each person, because continuity is what makes everything else possible. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us and ask whatever you need to before deciding.
