About Bluebird Care
Bluebird Care North Tyneside provides care at home for people across North Tyneside and the surrounding area. Our visits range from a short call in the morning to several each day, and for some households much longer periods of support. The pattern is agreed with the person and reviewed as things change. For older people we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry, shopping and getting out to appointments or to see family and friends. We also keep an eye on the things that are easy to miss, a fading appetite, low mood, somebody less steady than last month, and we raise them early. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting wherever the rota allows, work with the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, where the focus is independence and communication that suits the individual, and adults with mental health needs, where reliability does most of the good. For people with a physical disability we help with moving safely and managing at home, and where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate. Younger adults are supported around their own commitments. Our care workers are trained for the people they visit, and we say plainly when a need is beyond us. Please ring us if you would like to talk it through.
