About Housing 21 - Rowan Croft
We are Rowan Croft, part of Housing 21, providing care and support to people in their own homes here in North Tyneside. We support older people and people living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need help with daily life. In practice that means personal care, support with medication, meals, help around the house, and the company that often matters as much as any task on a care plan. The point of what we do is to let people keep their own front door and their own routines, with support available when it is needed rather than taking over. So we start by asking what somebody actually wants from us and what they would rather keep doing for themselves, and we revise that as things change. We also try to keep the same small group of workers around each person, because familiarity makes the practical side easier and means changes in health get noticed early. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about support.
