About Insight Walderslade
Here at Insight Walderslade, we are a care home based in Chatham, Medway, and we take genuine pride in the support we offer to the people who live with us and those who visit for short stays. We specialise in residential care for younger adults, including individuals with learning disabilities and autism. We understand that each person who comes through our door has their own story, their own preferences, and their own way of experiencing the world. Our approach is built around getting to know people as individuals and making sure that the support we provide fits around their lives, not the other way around. Respite care is also an important part of what we do. We know that families and carers sometimes need a break, and we want anyone staying with us on a short term basis to feel just as settled and comfortable as those who call Insight Walderslade home. A respite stay should feel like a positive experience in its own right, and that is something we genuinely work towards. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection resulted in a rating of good, which we are pleased about, though we see it as a reflection of where we are now rather than a reason to stand still. We are always looking at how we can improve and how we can better respond to the needs of the people in our care. Chatham is a place with a strong community feel, and we are glad to be part of it. Whether you are considering a long term placement or exploring respite options, we are always happy to have an honest conversation about how we might be able to help. Please do get in touch and come to meet us.
