About 146 Lower Robin Hood Lane
We are 146 Lower Robin Hood Lane, a small residential care home in Chatham, Kent. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and people with physical disabilities, including younger adults. Respite stays are available. Being a small house is deliberate. It means the people who live here are not managing a constant stream of unfamiliar staff, that routines can be genuinely individual rather than set by the demands of a large rota, and that we usually know without being told when somebody is having a difficult day. We start from what each person wants their week to look like and work back to the support that makes it possible. That might take in college or work, a regular swim, cooking their own meals, seeing family, or getting out around Chatham. Where somebody finds noise or change hard, we keep to a predictable rhythm and prepare properly for anything out of the ordinary. Because we also support people with physical disabilities, access, equipment and getting about get proper attention, so those needs are met without fuss rather than shaping the whole day. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are used to detailed questions from families and commissioners and we welcome them. Please contact us if you would like to visit.
