About Diana House
Diana House is a residential care home in Chatham, Medway. We support older people who need help with daily living, adults with a learning disability or autism, younger adults, and people working through problems with alcohol or drugs. We also offer respite stays for those who need support for a shorter period. Our starting point is that the people who live here are adults with their own preferences and their own way of doing things, and we do not judge anyone for the difficulties that brought them to us. Residents decide how their days go, what they eat, how their rooms look and what they want to work towards. For some that means building skills around cooking, money or getting out independently. For others it means steady, familiar support so that life stays comfortable. Support plans are written with each person, using whatever way of communicating suits them best, and we pay close attention to what helps someone feel settled and what causes them stress. Where people are working through addiction we work alongside the professionals already involved rather than duplicating or cutting across their work. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We say that plainly and are happy to answer any question about how we work. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
