About Tigh Allene
Tigh Allene is a residential care home in Lincoln supporting adults, including adults with learning disabilities and autism, and we offer planned respite stays as well as longer term places. We are a small home and we work like one. The people who live here have their own rooms, their own routines and their own opinions, and our staff fit around them rather than running everybody to one timetable. Support covers personal care, medicines, meals, money and the ordinary work of keeping a household going, and wherever somebody can do something themselves we stand back, because skills that go unused tend to disappear. For adults with learning disabilities and autism, the particulars are everything. How a person communicates, what makes an environment tolerable or unbearable, how much notice they need before anything changes, and which bits of the day they want to handle alone are things we learn from them, not from assumptions about a diagnosis. When change cannot be avoided, we prepare for it carefully and at their pace. Life here is not meant to stop at the front door either. We support people to keep up with family and friends and to get to the groups, activities, work or college they care about. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking at us for somebody, please visit and spend time with the people who already live here.
