About The Paddocks
The Paddocks is a residential care home in Lincoln. We support older people who need help with daily living, and we also support younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, in a setting that is small enough for everyone to be known properly. Respite stays are available as well, for planned breaks or when something unexpected leaves a family short of cover. Supporting a mix of people in one house means paying attention to what each of them actually wants from the day. Some residents want a full diary and plenty of company. Others want quiet, predictability and to be left in peace until they choose otherwise. For autistic people in particular, that predictability is not a preference but a need, so we explain changes in advance, keep staffing as consistent as we can, and take sensory comfort seriously. We help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and the practicalities of daily life, and we do it in a way that supports independence rather than quietly replacing it. Where someone can do a thing themselves, they do it. Where they want to learn a new one, we help with that too. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Anyone considering The Paddocks is welcome to come and see us, meet the people who live and work here, and take their time deciding.
