About St Bernadettes Nursing Home
Here at St Bernadettes Nursing Home, we provide nursing and residential care for older adults and younger adults living with a range of needs, in the heart of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. We are proud to have received a rating of "Good" from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the effort and commitment of every member of our team. We support people living with dementia, physical disabilities and complex nursing needs, and we also offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether to recover after a period in hospital or to give family carers some well earned time to rest. Whatever brings someone to us, we aim to make sure they feel genuinely at home from the moment they arrive. Care here is shaped around the individual. We take time to understand what matters to each person, how they like their day to go, what brings them comfort, and what they want to hold onto from their life before coming to us. That understanding guides everything, from how we deliver personal care to how we spend time together day to day. Our team includes registered nurses alongside care staff, all working together to make sure that medical and personal needs are met with skill and warmth. We work closely with GPs, community health professionals and families to keep communication open and to make sure everyone who matters to a resident is kept informed and involved. Scarborough is a place with real community spirit, and we see ourselves as part of that community. We welcome visitors, encourage family involvement, and try to maintain the kinds of connections that make life meaningful. If you would like to find out more about what we offer or come and have a look around, please do get in touch. We are always happy to talk.
