About Weston Favell Houses
Weston Favell Houses is a nursing home in Northampton. We care for adults who need qualified nursing support alongside help with daily living, and much of our work is with younger adults and with people whose physical disability means they need skilled, regular support. Having nurses on duty at all hours lets us manage complex health needs properly, including wound and pressure care, continence and catheter needs, feeding support and the kind of monitoring that would otherwise mean frequent trips to hospital. It also means care can continue here as somebody's needs change rather than another move being required. Supporting younger adults is a particular discipline. The people we care for have interests, relationships and plans of their own, and the nursing we provide is meant to make those possible, not to become the whole of somebody's life. Choice over routine, over how the day is spent and over who comes into a person's room is something we take seriously. Moving and handling is done unhurriedly, explained as it happens and carried out with the proper equipment, because comfort depends on those details. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families in West Northamptonshire are welcome to visit.
