About Richmond Village
Richmond Village Northampton is a nursing home providing nursing care for older people and younger adults. We support people living with dementia and people with a physical disability, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased with it and conscious of how easily standards slip if a team starts coasting, so we keep asking residents, families and our own staff what could be better. Being a village rather than simply a building shapes how we work. People live at a domestic scale, which means meals, company and daily routines happen the way they would in a household. Someone can potter, join in or keep to themselves, and staff are close enough to notice when something is not right without hovering. Nursing is on hand around the clock, which allows us to support people whose health needs are considerable and changing. It also means that when someone becomes unwell, the first response usually happens here rather than in an ambulance. For people living with dementia, we work from who the person has been, not only from what they can currently manage. Visitors are always welcome. Come and see how it works before you decide anything.
