About Cliftonville Care Home
Cliftonville Care Home is a nursing home in Northampton. Because we have qualified nurses on duty, we can support people whose health needs are more complex than a residential home could safely manage, including those living with dementia or a physical disability, and younger adults as well as older people. Nursing care can sound clinical. We work hard to make sure it does not feel that way. Medical needs are met properly and without fuss, and the rest of the day belongs to the person: their own furniture and photographs in their room, meals they actually want to eat, and the freedom to spend time however suits them. Dementia care runs through everything we do rather than sitting in a separate part of the building. Our staff learn how each person communicates, what unsettles them and what reassures them, and we share that knowledge so nobody has to explain themselves twice. We offer respite as well as longer stays. Families often come to us when someone is leaving hospital and is not yet ready to be at home, or when a carer needs a couple of weeks to recover their own strength. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather keep improving quietly than talk about ourselves, so if you want to know what we are really like, come in, ask us difficult questions and speak to the people who live here.
