About Ashley House
Ashley House is a nursing home in Leamington Spa supporting adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people living with eating disorders, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. Most of the people here are younger adults, and registered nurses are on duty alongside our support team. Having nursing on site means health needs can be met here rather than requiring somebody to move again when their condition changes. But the nursing exists to serve the life rather than the other way round. Our work rests on consistency and an absence of judgement. A good many of the people who come to us have been let down before, sometimes repeatedly, and rebuilding that trust takes reliability and time rather than good intentions. Where somebody is living with an eating disorder, mealtimes call for particular patience rather than ordinary prompting. People arrange their own rooms, take part in the running of the house, and are supported to get out and to see family. Respite stays are available. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
