About Agnes Court - Care Home with Nursing Physical Disabilities
We are Agnes Court in Banbury, a nursing home in Oxfordshire supporting adults with physical disabilities alongside older people who need qualified nursing care. Registered nurses are on duty around the clock, which means clinical needs are met here rather than through repeated trips out, and it also means a change in someone's condition is noticed early by people who know them. Many of the people we support have complex physical needs and want a life that is not defined by them. That shapes how we work. We assist with mobility, personal care and health needs in a way that leaves as much control as possible with the person, and we plan the day around what they actually want to do rather than around what is convenient for us. We also support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, and younger adults who are used to running their own lives and expect to carry on doing so. We offer respite stays as well as longer term places. Respite gives family carers a genuine break and gives the person staying with us a change of scene, and we prepare for those stays carefully so nobody arrives to a room full of strangers. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us good overall. Families are welcome whenever they wish to come, and we would encourage anyone considering Agnes Court to visit, meet the team and see how the house feels on an ordinary day.
