About Pathways Health Care
We are a nursing home in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, caring for older people and for younger adults, including adults with a learning disability or autism who have nursing needs. Qualified nurses are on duty at all hours. Supporting people with such different needs under one roof means paying close attention to the individual. A younger adult with autism may need a predictable day, a quiet space, and staff who understand what causes distress and what settles it. An older person with complex health needs may want careful monitoring, help with mobility and somebody unhurried at the bedside. We plan for each person separately, and we write those plans with them and with their families. A good home is one where people are asked rather than managed. What time to get up, what to eat, whether to join in or stay out of it. Choice is not a luxury simply because somebody happens to need nursing care. Respite and short stays are available as well as permanent places. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated the home Good. If you are looking at nursing care in this part of Nottinghamshire, please contact us and arrange to visit. We are happy to answer questions and show you round with no commitment at all.
