About Neighbourly Helpers

Neighbourly Helpers provides support at home for people in Telford and the surrounding area. The people we visit include older people, many of them living with dementia, as well as younger adults, people with a learning disability or autism, people with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss. The name is meant to describe how we work. Support that arrives from somebody familiar, at a time you can rely on, doing the things you actually want doing rather than a standard package. Everything begins with a proper conversation in your own home about your routine, your preferences and what you would rather carry on managing yourself. Visits can cover personal care and medication, cooking, shopping and housework, support to get out into the community, or company for somebody who sees very few people in a week. Some people need one short call a day and others need several. We keep care teams small so the same faces turn up, because being greeted by somebody you know changes the character of the whole visit, and for a person living with dementia it matters even more. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and we are glad to be asked about our training, our staffing and how we handle concerns. You should know who to ring and get a straight answer when you do. If you would like to talk about care at home in this area, please get in touch.
