We are a home care agency in Telford, providing practical support to people in their own homes. Our work is simple to describe. We send carers to people who need help to manage at home, and we try to arrange that help around the person rather than around our own convenience. Some of the people we visit need no more than a daily call to help them get up, wash and dress, and to make sure medication is taken. Others need a good deal more than that, with visits through the day and support with meals, moving about safely and keeping the house in order. We talk it through with the person and whoever else they want involved, agree what is needed and then keep checking that the arrangement still suits. We put effort into continuity, because home care works best when the person and the carer know one another. A carer who has visited for months notices the small changes that signal someone is becoming unwell or low in spirits, and the person is spared explaining themselves to a stranger. Our staff are trained for the work they are asked to do and can reach senior colleagues when a situation is unclear. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
