About Helping Hands DCS
Helping Hands provides care and support at home across Telford and the surrounding area. We visit older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic people, people with physical disabilities or loss of sight or hearing, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. Our work is built on the idea that home is usually the best place to be, provided the right help turns up at the right time. That last part is where most home care succeeds or fails, so we plan rotas conservatively and would sooner turn work down than accept more than we can cover reliably. The visits themselves cover personal care, medication, meals and drinks, help getting out, household tasks and company. For people living with dementia we work with the routines already established in the home, because familiar surroundings and a predictable day prevent more distress than anything we could introduce. We keep the same carers with the same people wherever possible, write plans in plain English, and revise them when the situation changes rather than waiting for a review date to come round. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss support in Telford.
