Our starting point is that the people we support are running their own lives and we are there to make that practical. For many that means a home of their own, choices about food, money and company, and the ordinary rights of any adult. We take the time, we use whatever method works for the person, and we check we have understood rather than assuming. Rural Suffolk means distance and isolation are real risks, so getting out and keeping connections alive is treated as part of the job.
