We are Progressive Support, and we provide care and support to adults in their own homes in Tipton and across Sandwell. Our visits range from a single short call each day through to several hours of support, arranged to fit the person's routine rather than our rota. We support adults living with dementia, where familiar faces arriving at predictable times do more good than anything else we can offer. We also support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, where predictable routines and clear information given in good time matter enormously, people living with mental ill health, and people with physical disabilities, taking care over equipment and how somebody prefers to be assisted. Many of those we support are younger adults who want help that steps back as they take on more themselves. Everything starts with a visit and a proper conversation at home, with family or an advocate present if that is wanted. The plan is written with the person and reviewed when circumstances change.
