Before we start we spend proper time understanding what would genuinely help, what somebody would rather manage themselves and how they like things done in their own house. For people living with dementia, consistency is the most valuable thing we can offer. A familiar worker who knows where the tea is kept, what the routine is and what tends to unsettle somebody will achieve far more than a stranger working from a care plan. We also take time to learn about a person's life, because it helps us make sense of what we see. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
