About Ambition Community Healthcare

Ambition Community Healthcare supports people in their own homes across Dereham and the surrounding villages of mid Norfolk. Rural life brings its own difficulties when someone needs care, and we plan our rounds around that, because a visit that arrives late in a village ten miles from anywhere is a visit that has failed the person waiting for it. We work with older people who need help with personal care, medication, meals and household routines, and with adults living with a physical disability who want their own front door rather than a placement somewhere else. A good deal of our work is with people who have a learning disability or who are autistic, including younger adults moving towards a more independent life. That kind of support is rarely about doing things for someone. It is usually about being alongside them while they do it themselves, at their own speed, until they no longer need us there. We keep our teams small and local so that people see familiar carers rather than a different name each week. Plans are written with the person, not about them, and we revisit them properly when circumstances change. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection.
