About Carerose Cares
We provide care at home in Harlow and the surrounding parts of Essex, supporting older adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and people with physical disabilities. Supporting that range means we plan individually rather than running everybody through one routine. What helps an older person stay safely at home has little in common with what helps a young autistic adult manage their own flat, and a service that treats them alike will do neither properly. For autistic adults and people with learning disabilities we are careful to be exactly where we said, at the time we said, doing what was agreed, because improvising is rarely helpful. Practical help is much of what we do: personal care, medication, meals, shopping, laundry, keeping a household in order. The rest is harder to put on a care plan. Noticing that somebody is not themselves. Staying the last ten minutes rather than leaving early. Telling the office when something has changed. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather hear about a problem this week than be congratulated in general terms.
