About Care Just 4U
Care Just 4U provides care and support to people in their own homes in Harlow and across Essex. The people we work with include older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. Support belongs to the person receiving it. It is their home, their routine and their decision how help happens, and we fit around that rather than expecting the reverse. We visit first and take our time over the conversation, because what families assume is difficult and what the person finds difficult are often not the same thing. From that conversation we agree a plan, with family or an advocate involved whenever somebody wants them there, and we revise it as circumstances change rather than at fixed review dates. Visits cover personal care, medication, meals and drinks, housework and laundry, shopping, getting out to appointments, work, college or something sociable, and company. For autistic people we give notice of change well in advance and pay attention to sensory needs. Where sight or hearing is affected we think about how we announce ourselves and explain what we are doing. We keep the team around each household small and introduce new support workers properly.
