At Home Support provides care and support in people's own homes in Harlow and the surrounding parts of Essex. Our purpose is to make staying at home a workable option, so that people keep their own surroundings, their own routine and their own say over the day. We support older adults with the everyday things that have become harder: personal care, medication, meals, keeping the house in order and getting out safely. We support people living with dementia, where a familiar face arriving at an expected time does more good than any amount of organised activity. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, where communication suited to the person and support that builds skills rather than replacing them make the greatest difference. We support people with physical disabilities, helping with washing, dressing and mobility while leaving the person deciding how it is done, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we announce ourselves, speak and explain. We support younger adults too, whose care is planned around work, study, family and independence. We keep the team around each person as small and consistent as we can manage.
