About Advinia Homecare
We are Advinia Homecare, a home care agency working from Epping and supporting adults across this part of Essex. We visit people in their own homes, providing the help that makes staying there workable. We support older people and people living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. The work is practical: help with washing and dressing, support with medication, meals prepared properly, shopping and housework, and a hand getting out of the house. For some people that is a single call each morning, and for others it is several visits through the day. Because we are guests in somebody's home, they set the terms. We ask how things are usually done and we do them that way rather than arriving with a system of our own. We agree the times that suit and we keep to them, because a late call is not a small matter when somebody is waiting to get up or needs their tablets. We try to send the same small group of workers to the same person. Familiarity does a lot of the work in home care: someone you know is easier to let in, and a worker who knows you notices sooner when you are unwell.
