About OFFICE
We are a home care provider based in Colchester, supporting people in their own homes across Essex. Our work covers older people needing help with personal care, medication and everyday tasks, people living with dementia, autistic adults and adults with a learning disability, people managing mental health conditions, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. We are clear with ourselves that these are different kinds of work, and that treating them as one would be a way of doing all of them poorly. So every package is planned individually. The first conversation takes as long as it needs, with the person and anyone they want present, and we ask the questions that referral forms never reach. What do you still want to do for yourself. What time does your medication really need to be taken. What makes a morning go badly. Who should we ring when something changes. Those answers become the plan, and the plan is revised when circumstances change rather than when a review falls due. We keep the same carers visiting the same people wherever the rota allows, because reliability is the foundation of this work, and our staff are trained for the specific needs they will meet.
