About AQS Homecare
AQS Homecare Essex provides care and support in people's own homes in Billericay and the surrounding parts of Essex. We take on a broad range of needs, and each arrangement begins with a proper conversation about what the person wants their day to look like. For older people we help with personal care, medication, meals, housework, shopping and getting out and about, and we notice and raise the changes that are easy to overlook. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting, follow the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about in a home that is known by heart. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, where the emphasis is on independence and on communicating in the way that suits the person, and adults with mental health needs, where reliability and respect do most of the good. We help people with a physical disability to move safely and manage at home, and where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate. We also support people living with eating disorders and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug dependency. Both ask for consistency and no moralising, and we work alongside the health professionals involved. Younger adults are supported around their own commitments.
