About Seccare+
Seccare provides care in people's own homes across Basildon and the surrounding parts of Essex. Those we support include older people, adults living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic adults, those living with mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss, as well as younger adults. We think the quality of home care is decided almost entirely by whether unglamorous commitments are kept. Arriving when we said we would. Sending someone who already knows the household. Rotas are planned around what we can genuinely honour, and if we cannot cover an area or a time reliably we say so instead of promising. The other half is familiarity. A care worker visiting the same person over months learns what an ordinary day looks like for them, which is the only dependable way to notice when a day is not ordinary. It also spares people from introducing themselves to a stranger every week, which is a matter of dignity rather than efficiency. Where support calls for particular skill, such as dementia care or working well with an autistic adult, we train the whole team so everybody works the same way.
