About Eland Supported Living
Eland Supported Living provides support in people's own homes and communities across County Durham. We work with older people needing help with daily living and with younger adults building independence at home. Our starting point is that support should make somebody's own life possible rather than take it over. For some people that means help with personal care, medication and daily routines. For others it means practical assistance with cooking, shopping, budgeting, correspondence and appointments. For others again it means somebody alongside them at college, at work, at a club or simply getting out and about. If somebody can do part of a task, they do that part. If they want to learn to do more, we help them learn, at their own pace and without making a production of it. Decisions about how, when and by whom support is given belong to the person receiving it. We involve people fully in planning their support and we review arrangements openly, including when something is not working. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about supported living in County Durham.
