About Guardian Alliance
Guardian Alliance provides care at home to people in Bishop Auckland and across County Durham. We support older people and people living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and younger adults who need help to live independently. Our visits are built around the person's own routine rather than around a standard package. That might be a short call in the morning to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day starts safely, support at several points with meals, mobility and the house, or help to get out to appointments, the shops and the people who matter. For many of the households we visit, the familiar face and the time for a proper conversation count for as much as the tasks. We come out and talk it through before anything begins, agree the plan with the person and whoever they want involved, write it down in plain words and review it as needs change. We say honestly when we think somebody needs more than can safely be provided at home. Covering a spread out county means being realistic about travel, so we plan rounds carefully, arrive when we said we would and telephone if we are held up. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
