About The Old Vicarage
Here at The Old Vicarage, we are a residential care home nestled in the heart of Chippenham, Wiltshire, and we take real pride in the community we have built within our walls. We provide care for older people who need support with day to day living, whether that is on a long term residential basis or through a shorter respite stay while family members take a well earned break or recover from illness. We understand that moving into a care home, or choosing one for someone you love, is one of the most significant decisions a family can make. That is why we work hard to make sure every person who comes through our door feels genuinely at home rather than simply cared for. We take time to get to know each resident as an individual, learning what matters to them, what brings them comfort, and how they prefer to spend their days. Our team brings both skill and warmth to the work they do. We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which reflects the consistent effort our staff put in each and every day. We never see that rating as a reason to stand still though. We are always looking at how we can improve, listen more carefully, and respond better to the people in our care. Chippenham is a wonderful town and being part of its wider community matters to us. We welcome families to visit and stay involved in the lives of their loved ones, and we believe that connection to the people and places residents know well is an important part of feeling settled and content. If you would like to find out more about life at The Old Vicarage, we would genuinely love to hear from you.
