About 13 Greenway Park
Our home at 13 Greenway Park in Chippenham provides residential care for older people and also supports adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and younger adults. Respite stays are available too. This is a house and we want it to feel like one. People choose how their rooms look, what they eat, when they get up and how much of the day they spend in company. Those choices are most of what makes a place worth living in, and they take steady effort to protect when staff change and pressures build. Support is planned around what each person wants to be able to do rather than only around risk. Cooking, shopping, managing money, using the bus, getting to college, work or activities, and keeping up with family and friends. Where somebody needs a great deal of help, we still look hard for the parts they can take on themselves, because independence disappears quietly unless somebody is watching for it. Communication and environment get real attention. We learn how each person tells us what they want, including those who use little or no speech, and we adapt to them. Noise, lighting, predictability and having somewhere quiet to retreat to all shape how good a day somebody has. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are glad of it, and we know it has to be earned again every day. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
