About Cepen Lodge
Cepen Lodge is a residential care home in Chippenham, Wiltshire, providing a home for older people and for younger adults who need help with everyday life, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. The place runs at the pace of the people living in it. Breakfast happens when somebody wakes rather than when a trolley arrives, and the day takes the shape a person wants. The care covers washing and dressing, medication, meals cooked here, mobility and the many small practical things that become difficult alone, given in a way that leaves somebody their privacy and their dignity. For those living with dementia we keep the routine steady and the faces familiar. Our staff tend to stay with us, and that continuity does more to settle a person than any particular approach could. We also take trouble over the building itself, so that it is easy to understand and move around. Families are welcome whenever they want to come, and we would far rather hear a worry early than have it sit unspoken. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us if you would like to see the home.
