About Ordinary Life Project Association - 18 Boundary Road
Ordinary Life Project Association provides residential care in Chippenham for older people and younger adults. We support people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autism, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people who have sight or hearing loss, and we also take planned respite stays. The name says most of what we are trying to do. The people who live here are adults entitled to an ordinary life, and our job is to make that possible rather than to run it for them. Everybody has their own room, their own routine and a real say in how the house works. Our staff help with personal care, medicines, meals, money and the practical business of a household, and we stand back wherever somebody can manage alone. The detail is where the real work lies. How a person communicates, what makes an environment tolerable, how much notice they need before something changes, which parts of the day they would rather handle themselves, and how they want to be helped are all things we learn from the person rather than assume. We also support people to keep up with family and friends and to get to the activities, groups, work or education that matter to them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please visit and talk to the people who live here.
