About Hudson Street
Here at Hudson Street, we provide residential care for people in the heart of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Our home supports a range of individuals, including older adults, younger adults, and people living with a learning disability or autism, as well as offering respite care for those who need a short term stay. We think it matters that people feel genuinely at home here, not just looked after. Whitby is a wonderful place to live, and we make the most of being part of this community, whether that means a walk along the harbour, popping to a local shop, or simply enjoying the fresh sea air from our setting. The town is part of who we are, and we try to bring that warmth and character into everyday life at Hudson Street. The people we support come to us with different needs and different stories, and we take the time to understand what matters to each individual. For some that means maintaining independence and staying connected to the things they enjoy. For others it means more hands on support delivered with patience and consistency. We work hard to get that balance right. We are proud to hold a good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in day to day. That said, we are not complacent. We carry on listening to residents, families, and the people who care for them to make sure we keep improving. If you are thinking about care for yourself or someone close to you, whether on a permanent or respite basis, we would always encourage you to come and see us in person. A visit tells you far more than any description can, and we are always happy to talk things through without any pressure.
