About Ravendale Hall
Ravendale Hall is a residential care home in Grimsby. We are home to older people, including many living with dementia and people with physical disabilities, and we support younger adults too. We also offer respite stays. Most of our attention goes on routine things, because that is where homes fail. Cold food. Long waits. Being addressed as if you were not there. We would rather be dull and reliable about all of it. For residents with physical disabilities we plan the practical side around what somebody can still manage themselves rather than what is quickest for us, because independence given up for convenience is rarely handed back. For those living with dementia we protect the routine and keep the surroundings familiar, and we ask families for the working life, the places and the names, because those are what still connect when much else has slipped. If a resident cannot easily speak up for themselves, we make sure somebody does on their behalf, whether a relative or an independent advocate. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Our standing invitation is to turn up unannounced and ask anything.
