Quebec Hall is a residential care home in Dereham, Norfolk. We are home to older people who need support with everyday life, including residents living with dementia, and we welcome people for respite stays when a break or a period of recovery is needed. The house runs around the people who live in it. Residents wake when they wake, eat what they like, keep their own belongings where they want them, and choose how much of the day to spend in company. Some are sociable from breakfast onwards, others prefer their own room and a quiet afternoon, and neither choice needs explaining. Respite guests are treated as residents while they are here, with the same planning and the same welcome, so a family carer can take a genuine break and the person staying gets something out of it too. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep asking residents and relatives what could be improved.
