About Holly Cottage
Holly Cottage is a residential care home in Dereham, Norfolk. We support older people, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people living with mental ill health and younger adults, and we offer both permanent places and respite stays. Supporting that range of people well means being specific rather than general. For an older resident it may mean unhurried help with personal care, safe support with moving about, medication given properly and somebody nearby at night. For an adult with a learning disability or an autistic adult it may mean a predictable routine, clear information given in good time, and help to manage money, appointments and getting out to a job or a course. For somebody living with mental ill health it may mean a settled, low pressure place to live and close work with the community mental health team. We should be honest about where we stand. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather tell you that here than let you find it elsewhere. We know what the inspectors raised with us, we are working through it, and we will discuss any part of it openly with families, professionals and the people who live here. What we are working towards is a small house that feels like a home. Please come and visit and ask us the difficult questions.
