About Rose Lodge & Holland House Care Home
Rose Lodge and Holland House is a residential care home near Peterborough, providing a home for older people who need support with daily living. We also care for younger adults, support residents living with dementia, and look after people with a physical disability. Respite stays are available for those who need care for a shorter period. We want this to feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere people are placed. Residents choose when to get up, how to spend their time and what they eat. Meals are cooked on the premises and preferences are remembered. There is company and activity for those who want it and no pressure on anyone who prefers their own company. Dementia support rests on knowing people. We ask families to tell us about a person's life, their work, their music and their habits, because reassurance lands far better when it is familiar. Calm surroundings, staff who know the resident well and an unhurried pace do most of the work. Where a physical disability is part of the picture we make sure staff are trained in the right equipment and techniques. We work closely with local GPs, community nurses and therapists, and we keep families properly informed. Relatives are welcome whenever suits them. The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. Please come and see us.
