Here at Newlands, we provide residential care for a range of people in the heart of Canterbury, Kent. Our home supports older adults, younger adults, people with learning disabilities or autism, and those who need short term respite care. We believe that good care is built on genuinely knowing the people who live with us, understanding their histories, their preferences and what matters to them day to day. What has not changed is our genuine commitment to the people who call Newlands home. We work hard to create an environment that feels comfortable and familiar rather than clinical, where residents are treated as individuals and encouraged to maintain their independence wherever possible. For those joining us for respite care, we aim to make the transition as easy as it can be, whether someone is with us for a short break or to give a family carer some time to rest. We are a small, community rooted home and we take pride in the relationships we build with residents, their families and the wider Canterbury community.
