Safe
Inspectors found that people felt safe receiving support. They said there were enough staff to meet people's needs and give individual care. Staff had been recruited safely.
Effective
Inspectors found that the registered manager and the provider's team gave staff leadership and coaching. This helped staff understand people's support needs and have the skills to meet them. Staff had training, regular supervisions and appraisals, and were encouraged to complete qualifications and extra learning. The provider worked with other organisations so staff received current best practice training.
Caring
Inspectors found that people had positive relationships with support staff who knew them well. Staff supported people to make day to day choices and to be independent. Inspectors saw that people were happy and smiling.
Responsive
Inspectors described the provider and staff as exceptionally responsive. Support was based on each person's needs and wishes, and care plans set out their routines and preferences. People took part in review meetings and in setting goals. The provider designed services to meet people's changing needs and used assistive technology, such as electronic tablets, smart speakers and flashing doorbells.
Well-led
Inspectors found that leadership and coaching from the registered manager and the provider's team helped staff meet people's needs. Staff said they felt supported and that their voices were listened to. Inspectors said this had led to a positive workplace culture. The provider continued to work on improvements to the service.
