About Eastern Lodge
We are a residential care home in Gloucester supporting adults who need help with daily life, including people living with mental health needs and people with a physical disability. We run the place as a household rather than a service, and the people who live here have their own rooms, their own things and a real say in how the week goes. For many of the people we support, what helps most is steadiness. A settled house, staff who are the same from week to week, and a routine that does not keep shifting will do more good than any particular technique. We help with personal care, meals, medication and the practical business of daily life, and we think carefully about how the house is arranged so that people can go on doing as much for themselves as possible. Respite stays are available too, which can give families a planned break and can let somebody get used to us gradually. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather state that openly than leave it unsaid, and we are happy to explain how we work and how our staff are trained and supported. If you would like to visit and see whether this might be the right place, please get in touch.
