About Ridgeway Residential Home
Here at Ridgeway Residential Home, we provide warm and attentive care for older people in the heart of Sidmouth, one of Devon's most beautiful coastal towns. We are a residential care home, and everything we do is centred on making sure the people who live with us feel genuinely at home, safe and valued. We specialise in older person care and residential care, and we take time to get to know each resident as an individual. Their routines, preferences, memories and personalities matter to us, and we shape our support around them rather than asking them to fit around us. Whether someone needs a little help day to day or more consistent support, we aim to provide it with respect and good humour. Our team have built real relationships with the residents here, and that continuity makes a meaningful difference. Familiar faces, a relaxed atmosphere and a genuine sense of community are things we are proud of. Mealtimes, activities and quiet moments are all given equal thought, because life in a care home should feel like just that, a life, not simply a routine. Sidmouth itself is a wonderful setting. The town has a friendly character, and we make the most of what is on our doorstep, whether that means a walk along the seafront or simply enjoying the views and the fresh Devon air from our grounds. We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection resulted in a rating of Good, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in each day. We do not take that for granted and we continue to look at how we can improve and grow. If you are considering Ridgeway Residential Home for yourself or someone you care about, we would love to hear from you and welcome you for a visit.
