About HF Trust - Chy Keres
HF Trust provides residential care near Launceston for older people and younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities and autism. We also offer planned respite stays. The people who live here are adults with their own lives to lead, and our job is to make those lives possible rather than to manage them. Everybody has their own room, their own routine and a real say in how the house runs. Our staff help with personal care, medicines, meals, money and the ordinary work of a household, and we stand back wherever somebody can manage alone, because independence is easily eroded by being helpful. For adults with learning disabilities and autism, the particulars matter enormously. How a person communicates, what makes an environment tolerable, how much notice they need before something changes, and which parts of the day they would rather handle themselves are all things we learn from the person rather than assume from a diagnosis. When change cannot be avoided, we prepare for it properly and at their pace. Life here is not meant to stop at the front door. We support people to keep up with family and friends and to get to the groups, activities, work or college that matter to them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and visit, and spend time with the people who already live here.
