About Ventana Homes
Ventana Homes provides residential care in Bournemouth for adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and people living with a physical disability. We are a home rather than a service somebody passes through, and the people living here are supported to run their own lives as far as they are able. Ordinary life is what we are aiming at. That means cooking, shopping, keeping your own space exactly as you want it, getting out to college, work or a club, and having a real say in how the week is arranged. For autistic residents in particular we pay attention to the things that make a home manageable: steady routines, proper warning before anything changes, and a quiet place to retreat to when the day has been a lot. Where somebody has a physical disability, our job is to remove the obstacle rather than to limit what they do. Respite stays are available for people needing support for a short period, or for families who need a break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. If you would like to visit, or to talk about whether we could be right for someone, please get in touch and we will take things at whatever pace suits you.
