About Portelet Grange
Here at Portelet Grange, we provide residential care for a range of people in the heart of Bournemouth, within the wider Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area. We welcome older adults, younger adults, and people living with mental health needs, and we also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay while their usual support is arranged or their family takes a break. We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person or family can make, and we do not take that lightly. From the moment someone contacts us, we try to make the process feel straightforward and human. We want people to feel genuinely at ease when they walk through our doors, not as though they are navigating a system. Our team works hard to get to know each resident as an individual. The small things matter enormously to us, whether that is how someone takes their tea, the television programmes they enjoy, or the routines that help them feel settled and secure. We build care around the person, not the other way around. We support residents with a range of needs, including those related to mental health, and we work closely with families and healthcare professionals to make sure everyone involved feels informed and included. For those joining us for respite stays, we aim to offer the same warmth and consistency that our long term residents experience. We are currently awaiting a CQC rating, and we are committed to being open about how we work and how we are developing. We would always encourage anyone interested in Portelet Grange to come and visit us in person, have a look around, ask questions, and get a proper feel for who we are. We think that is the best way to know whether we are the right fit.
