About Glenhurst Manor
Glenhurst Manor is a residential care home in Bournemouth. We provide care for older people and also support some younger adults, with respite stays available alongside permanent places. We keep things straightforward. People usually come to us because managing at home had become hard work, and what they want back is some ease. Meals they do not have to plan or cook. Help when washing and dressing has become a struggle. Somebody who notices when they are not themselves. Company when they want it and quiet when they do not. Residents carry on running their own lives as far as they are able, choosing their routines, arranging their rooms and deciding how much of the day to spend downstairs. We encourage people to bring their own furniture and pictures, because a room that looks like yours makes settling in far easier. Having younger adults living here as well means we are careful not to let anyone's day drift into a pattern built around much older residents. Interests, friendships and keeping in touch with the outside world still count. Being in Bournemouth, the seafront is close and a change of scene is easy to arrange. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and look round Glenhurst Manor.
