About Welland House Care Centre
We are Welland House Care Centre, a nursing home in Malvern. We care for people whose needs go beyond what residential care can provide, with qualified nurses on duty at all hours so that health problems are picked up early and dealt with properly. Most of the people living here are older, and many are living with dementia. We also support adults with mental health needs and younger adults who require nursing care, and we try to make sure the home works for everyone in it rather than being organised around one group. Nursing care is only half of it. The other half is ordinary life, and we take that just as seriously. People wake when they wake, eat food they actually want to eat, and fill their days in their own way. Some want company from morning to night, others want the door shut and the radio on. Our staff learn which is which, and they learn the histories behind the people too, because knowing who somebody was is a large part of caring well for who they are now. Families are welcome at any time and we keep in close contact when anything changes. We would always rather make an early phone call about a small worry. We offer respite stays as well as permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please contact us if you would like to arrange a visit.
