About Park Lane Care Home
Park Lane is a nursing home in Stoke on Trent. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily living, including people living with dementia, people living with a mental health condition and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We also take respite bookings. Having nurses on site changes what can be managed here. Wound care, catheters, complicated medication and health that shifts from one day to the next are handled in the home rather than through repeated trips to hospital, which matters most at the point when somebody is tired of being moved about. The nursing is only half of it. People here choose how their day runs, keep their own things around them, eat food they actually want and see their families whenever they like. Dementia care in particular asks for consistency, so our staff learn the routines, the names and the times of day that are harder for each person. We talk plainly with relatives, especially when health is changing. A difficult conversation held early is far kinder than a confusing one held late. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are looking at nursing or respite care in Stoke on Trent, please get in touch and come and see the home.
